In my first job, I worked as a line cook at the restaurant “Country Waffles”. During my time there we had a particular sandwich that was overwhelmingly popular. It grew to be one of my favorite options on the menu to cook, and even eat myself on my lunch break. So, I thought I would share this tasty treat with the world.
For this recipe, you can do a great deal of customization. You can also change the cheese, bread (if Swiss and Sourdough aren’t to you liking), and other meats, such as ham or roasting beef, to get a different taste and really make this sandwich your own. French Fries are a great side dish to go with this meal because they are super simple and quick to make.
1 package of Bacon (thick cut)
1 package of turkey breast
1 package of Swiss Cheese (or cheese of preference)
1 Head of lettuce (or lettuce of preference)
1)Place bacon strips on baking sheet with tin foil. The tin foil will make clean up a breeze! Cook bacon at 400˚ to crispiness desired. Take out of oven and let cool.
2)Cut lettuce, tomatoes, and avocados.
3)Take Turkey and cook on skillet until slightly browned.
4)Take bread and lightly butter one side of 2 slices. Place buttered side of bread on skillet.
5)Place 2 slices of cheese on bread, add cooked turkey on top of cheese.
6)Place cut lettuce, tomato, avocado, and bacon on top of turkey slices.
7)Place 2 more slices of cheese on top.
8)Take second buttered piece of bread, and add mayo to un-buttered side of bread. Place on top of bacon, butter side up.
9)Cook sandwich until bread is golden-brown and cheese has melted, flip, and repeat.
10)Cut each sandwiches in half, add to plate.
11)Add any side dish you would like to.
