School Yard

Euclid Elementary,

“Over the past few years, we have experienced budgeting challenges here in California. ?Unfortunately, Euclid’s garden went by the wayside, but now there is a new interest to revitalize it and that brings me joy! ~ Ana Luisa Biffle

Our Story

I came from agricultural roots back in Mexico. Growing our food was a necessary and expected way of life. Throughout the years I have started and/or maintained school gardens in many of the schools where I have been a Principal. ?I love sharing the joy gardens have brought to me and my family with our school community.

Every year 4 – 6 teachers, of our 25, religiously participate in the Grow Your Own Program connected with the Del Mar Fair. It’s exciting to watch the students grow and work with each other as to who will grow the biggest vegetables! I want to fan that experience and have it live at our school all year long!
