Digital Ads Internship

Who we are looking for:

Creative, sharp and compassionate individuals ready to hit the ground running with an internship in the Marketing and Development side of a great nonprofit. ?Based in San Francisco, Healthy Planet is a collaborative work environment. ?We are looking to grow our team and support our digital advertising space on Facebook and Google Adwords.

During the internship you will:

  • Review training procedures and education for Facebook Ad?s, Google Analytics and Google Adwords
  • Start and complete certification process for Google Analytics and Google Adwords
  • Complete a thorough assessment of our current advertising performance
  • Document, update and maintain trafficking and ad inventory work-flow procedures for all campaigns through Asana
  • Work with internal marketing team on creative spec requirements and delivery of digital campaigns
  • Create and manage social media advertising campaigns, and Google Adwords campaigns, budget and reporting
  • Ensure that campaigns, assets, communications and messaging are aligned to Healthy Planet?s brand guidelines and tone of voice
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control checks on campaigns to ensure that all placements and creative have been set up correctly and are delivering on pace
  • Provide weekly/monthly delivery reports detailing campaign status
  • Measure and optimize your paid media efforts across all channels and turn those insights into future campaigns and recommendations
  • Help develop an advertising strategy and roadmap to grow audience and user base while maintaining a positive user experience
  • Evaluate new technologies, market trends and industry best practices
  • Be a key contributor to the overall marketing department, with a focus on demand generation through all available paid media outlets

Ideal candidates:

  • A self-starter but loves teamwork
  • Passionate about digital advertising and the social ad space
  • Familiar with Google Business Apps, Google Adwords and Google Analytics, or the passion to learn
  • Have strong Excel or Google Spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools to put them to work
  • A quantitative approach and keen business sense
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • A love for organization, planning, problem-solving, project management, and time management skills
  • Very detail-oriented in your day-to-day work but also have a firm grasp of the broader digital advertising landscape
  • Strong attention to detail with a mind for quality first
  • An independent thinker who is intellectually persistent
  • A natural wordsmith with a passion to create clever headlines and messaging with short character and CPC restrictions
  • Desire to attend events, conferences, and educational seminars outside of office hours to learn new digital ad strategies and optimization
  • Rising junior or senior year University level student or recent graduate studying marketing, communications, advertising or related field

This will be 3 days per week (one day remote) with some evenings and weekends needed.?
