Option 3: The Comprehensive

We will review schools that have registered and work with schools as resources become available.

We’ll have a more accurate budget after we put the plan together following the Site Visit.
School gardens with support from the community are more sustainable. This premise is a core component of our programs, so we aim to engage and empower the community throughout the whole process. As a result, while we support schools financially (on a sliding scale), we require every school to raise at least 25% of the costs. The fundraising campaign is a crucial component to engage the whole school community –?it’s integral to developing ownership, pride, and responsibility for the garden?– making sure everyone has invested some time and money, even if it’s just $1 per family. A percentage of the funds generally come from the families in addition to local businesses and the community.?We provide a variety of fundraising resources to help reach your goal, including scripts, email templates, flyers, seed packets for the students to “sell” to?neighbors, family members, local businesses, etc.
