7 Tips to Stay Hydrated

  1. Start and end your day with water.
  2. Drink at least 8 glasses of water/day, or try drinking the same amount of ounces as you weigh. So if you weigh 160 lbs. drink 160 ounces of water/day.
  3. Don’t substitute beverages with caffeine, sugar or alcohol for water. Caffeine and alcohol act as diuretics and can dehydrate you more.
  4. Don’t wait until you are thirsty to drink water. Often signs of thirst mean you are already dehydrated.
  5. Try packing a water in your children’s lunch instead of juice or milk.
  6. Infuse your water with local seasonal fruits. Find fun recipes here!
